Ines Gütt

scholarship student - RailsGirls Summer of Code

As a teenager, I built some simple html-pages, but I never considered becoming a programmer. Instead, I studied museology and art history, worked as a designer and in marketing. However coding always comes back to me – in side projects, work etc. In 2016 I finally decided: It's time. I wanted to learn how to code! I spent many weekends with codecademy, visited meetups and met other beginners. That was great, but also a slow way of learning. This gave me the motivation to apply for a project that allows people to learn and practice coding on a full-time basis for three months – and this is what my partner Marie and I want to talk about.
