re:publica 2017 – Program at the newthinking booth
As one of the most important conferences of the digital society, the 11th edition of re:publica will be held in the week of 8 to 10 May 2017 at the Station Berlin. The motto “Love Out Loud!” aims to focus attention on love, engagement and solidarity.
This years program at the newthinking booth refers especially to our events Codemotion Berlin and Torstraßenfestival. Matching the motto we pay attention to communities, that are interested in supporting their members throughout the year. We present a program with exciting talks and workshops all around community-building in tech and music, artificial intelligence and app development. With our program we would like to introduce our events, topics, partners, communities and our network to show you, what we’ve done during the last year.
Our booth is a meeting point and provides room for chats, discussions, exchange and presentations. You are very welcome to stop by, say hello and ask questions!

What is the re:publica?
re:publica is one of the largest and most exciting conferences about digital culture in the world. Since its foundation in 2007, it has grown from a cozy blogger meeting with 700 participants into a wide-ranging “society conference”, with 8.000 visitors at the anniversary edition re:publica TEN. Representatives of digital culture share their knowledge and decision-making tools, and discuss the future of the information society. Here they can mingle with activists, scientists, hackers, entrepreneurs, NGOs, journalists, social media and marketing experts, and many others. This fosters innovation and creates synergies between net politics, online marketing, network technology, digital society, and (pop) culture. What is more, around 46 percent of re:publica speakers are female – far more than at many other similar events.
